THE BRAND SOLUTION //
In a post-pandemic world, Alberta Theatre Projects needed to reenergize new and existing audiences. More than just filling the playspace, the world needed to be reminded that the arts and culture sector is a vital part of our economic and social recovery, and for the shared experience of what it is to be human.

REENGAGE THE BRAND
In a world where it had become uncomfortable to leave our homes, audiences needed to be reminded that sharing theatre together is a vital part of shaping who we are, what we believe, and whom we want to be. It's through shared stories that we acknowledge our joy, our sorrows, our struggles. It's through stories that we can learn - that our differences don't divide us, they enable us to recognize, accept and celebrate the many forms and experiences that make us all human.
FAST-PACED, RESULTS-DRIVEN WHILE STAYING TRUE TO THE ORGANIZATION'S VALUES
Theatre is both an intimate and public experience. A space like no other, it requires both a risk and an investment in ourselves to share a story, in the dark with strangers, that may entertain, enlighten or enrage us. It promises to engage all of our senses, in a way that television and movies fall short. We walk in with the expectation that we will leave knowing that we shared an experience that may be similar to what other audiences will see, and yet will not be duplicated exactly on any other given night.
Unprecedented times called for strong creative direction and a thorough understanding of the audience's needs to be safely welcomed back in their yearning to be entertained. The season was already set, and at a lightning-fast pace, we needed to broadcast it to the world. Instead of focusing on the challenges of the recent past, the team decided to focus on the future. People were tired of staying at home, which became the centre of life and work. It was time to reignite a sense of play. And so we sent out the invitation: Come Play at our House.
Outreach campaigns included imaginative traditional and digital marketing efforts, out-of-home placements, and integration with digital PPC and social media outreach, resulting in a successful rekindling of theatre's long-awaited return.

VISUAL CONTENT CREATION //
Provoke higher engagement across owned social media channels.
When it comes to promoting theatre, telling engaging stories about the production is vital to entice new and existing patrons back to the playhouse. With higher engagement than just photos and text alone, video allows the people behind the shows to be the storytellers, share their experiences, and allow audiences to "peek behind the curtain."
Reviews are fantastic to have in written form - but what stronger endorsement than to have audiences share their joy, their shared experience, and encourage others to come see the show? The brand shines through, and strategically converts to ticket sales.
